About Us

Omech is the result of a student project at Camden County College. The team formed on September 2nd, 2008. Combining the terms “Omega” and “Tech” created the team name. Its members include: George Tagmire, Nick Passamonti, Thomas Ash, Jordan Hample, Robert Neilen, Brandon Kavitsky, Rich Draper, Dan Chong, Nick Cocco, Mike Gratton, Long Nguy, Natalia Rosa, Will Cannady, Nicole Marino, Amanda Konrad, and Brandon Orselli. Each member is talented in his/her own way. Some specialize in art, while others are talented in programming. No matter what each other’s specialty is, we all share one thing in common.

We are Omech.

Amanda Konrad I am part of the Art team. I have basically worked on concept art for the enemies and
townsfolk as well as marketing art. Most of my influence comes from the art of Ayami Kojima. Her art can be seen throughout most of the Castlevania series (which happens to be my favorite game of all time). I enjoy all games ranging from Pokemon to Mass Effect.
Brandon Orselli I'm the composer and sound effects guy for Team Omech. I've always been into music, even before I was born my mom would play music to me and she sings very often, my parents aren't musicians but they're definitely very into music so I guess my love for music grew from them and I decided to go with it for a career! (with the help of Professor Morrison too). My influences range from classical composers like Beethoven and Mozart to more modern artists like Devin Townsend, Iron Maiden, Queen and the list goes on. I've listened to what a most people would consider an obscene amount of music and it continues to grow with each day really. I constantly rotate my music and search for new inspiration to go along with the ones I'm already accustomed to. I'm not classically trained as a musician/composer but after I get my associates in game design I'm going to double major for a BA in graphic design as well as an associates in music composition. My taste in video games is as eclectic as my taste in music. I play games ranging from heros rescuing princesses (Zelda) to games about a mosquito that is terrorizing a Japanese family for sustenance (Mr. Mosquito).
Brandon Kavitsky I am currently Omech's Design Lead, Writer and resident Mohawk aficionado. There are few genres of games that I don't enjoy playing, but most often enjoy deeper games, regardless of whether that means interesting story lines and characters or just lots and lots of gameplay time. I hope one day to work in the industry creating memorable games like those that have inspired me since I was a kid.
Daniel Chong I am a member of the Omech tech team. I used to be in the art team, but now I am writing codes and modifying them to fit our games need. I intend to hone both my computer science and artistic skills to a high degree in hopes of creating some games of my own in the AAA title category. I am really a designer by nature, but ideas aren't useful if I can't execute them.
George Tagmire I am Omech’s Producer. My responsibilities include making the production schedule, managing the budget, supervising all teams, and making sure we meet all milestones. I love graphic design and video games. My favoirite games are Earthbound, The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, and Oblivion. I love current games, but always find myself playing the classics. My dreams are to one day own a small game studio. I would like to be involved with games that are recognized for their unique gameplay and characters.
Jordan Hample I am a programmer on the tech team. For Apollyon I was given the task of programming all the weapons in the game. So every time you slice through someone or "pop a cap" you better thank me. When I'm not programming games I'm most likely playing them. And if I'm not, I'm probably out driving as fast as I can (or stuck behind an old lady). I hope to get a job at a small local game company after I get my degree in Computer Science. Then after a few years I'll probably wind up in California begging for a job.
Long Nguy My current role in Team Omech is a hybrid between the tech and art team. I focus mainly on building and modeling the levels in Apollyon, but I also created many of the concept art used in the game. My hobbies include video games, paint-ball and writing. I plan on getting into developing video games sometime in the near future.
Mike Gratton My name is Mike Gratton and I am a designer/marketer for the Omech team. I helped with many aspects of how the player progresses through the game. I also work in the marketing end trying to get people hyped for our game and to come out to our presentation. My favorite genre of video game is an action-adventure hybrid. In the future, I want to be out in the industry either testing or designing games.
Natalia Rosa I am a member of the art team. I focus on conceptual art and marketing art.
Nick Cocco I am currently one of the marketers for the Omech Team. My main job is to think of creative (and cheap) ways to market our game to the students at the college. My favorite genre of games is role playing. I like to immerse myself in the game and the characters and to watch the character grow. One day I hope to work in the industry and make the type of game that has inspired me and so many more.
Nick Passamonti My name, Nick Passamonti, my job, Art Scrum Master, my quest, to rule a kingdom of my own. Born December 6th, 1988. Standing 6 foot 2, he now watches over the Omech art team, kind and fair, he rules with an iron fist as he commands the art team to act upon the designers will. Traveling the vast lands of New Jersey he came upon Camden County College and the Game Designers Guild. It is here where his training began and where he had journeyed upon the path of manhood to one day rule a kingdom of his own, but that is another story.
Nicole Marino I am part of the art team. I been an artist for many years but recently starting to see true development in my skills. Before I was part of the Omech team and part of the game design world I was studying animation at the Art Institute. I found myself not enjoying it as much but by luck I came back home to find a great program. I found myself very passionate about the game design world and gaming in general. I enjoy RPGs the most but I enjoy racing games and a lot of the old Nintendo games. My favorite games include God of War, Final Fantasy 7, Mario Kart and plenty more.
Rich Draper I'm a designer on the omega team for team Omech. I mostly work with a lot of the smaller details such as events that happen throughout each level and abilities each boss could possibly have as well as the skill tree's for Apollyon. Aside from that I enjoy playing videogames, watching anime, and hanging out with friends. My overall goal is to try to get a job creating ideas for games as a designer.
Robert Neilen I am a 35 year old male, who works along side with the art team of Omech Studios. Major Roll: My major roll in the team is modeling, rigging, and designing the instruction manual. My Goals: I would like to be a freelancer, developing children educational games for the Nintendo DS, and possibly producing some Action/Thriller games for other types of game consoles. Hobbies: I love to play thriller/action/puzzle games, and old video games, such as Resident Evil, and Silent Hill 4, Grand Theft Auto, and Ms. PacMan. In addition, on my free time, I like to play cards, and chess.
Tom Ash I am the Tech Scrum Master, I oversee the progress and flow of all of Apollyon's functionality and gameplay. I, along with the rest of the tech team, are responsible for the development that lies beneath the skin and glamour. Currently studying for my computer science degree at Camden County College, I hope to start as a programmer to get a strong foundation that I can later transfer to developing games. In my down time, I still value the game play of Resident Evil, as well as some new favorites such as Call of Duty.
Will Cannady My name is Will Cannady. I am on the art team. I work on 3D models.
